PRESS RELEASE
Sixt once again partner to DLD women conference
- Around 700 international guests invited to lunch with Regine Sixt
Munich, 11 July 2012 – Sixt rent a car, Germany’s largest car rental company and an international leader in premium mobility services, is this year once again lending its support to the Digital – Life – Design (DLD) women conference organised by publishing house Hubert Burda Verlag. As a founding partner to the event, Regine Sixt will be supporting the two-day conference, whose theme this year is “New Values, New Rules”, for the third time.
As one of the event’s principal partners, Sixt will be sponsoring a lunch at contemporary art museum Haus der Kunst for the approximately 700 invited guests from all over the world today (Wednesday). In a short speech, Regine Sixt will invite those present to join her at the lunch. Before this, Dr Julian zu Putlitz, CFO at Sixt AG and a member of the board of the Regine Sixt children’s foundation “Drying Little Tears”, will explain the significance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes for each and every company. Approximately 80 prominent names will speak at the conference, including Ursula von der Leyen, German Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, and EU commissioner Viviane Reding.
Every participant in the conference will receive an invitation to Regine Sixt’s traditional annual Oktoberfest event “Damen-Wies’n”. In addition to this, Sixt hostesses will be distributing goodie bags containing, among other delights, a body lotion called “REGINE’S by Louis Widmer”, the product of a cooperation between cosmetics manufacturer Louis Widmer and Regine Sixt.
On the eve of this year’s DLDwomen conference, Regine Sixt, as its co-chairwoman, joined founding members Maria Furtwängler and Stefanie Czerny in welcoming approximately 200 selected attendees to the Chairwoman’s Dinner at Munich restaurant Schumann’s.
Regine Sixt: “I’m delighted to see Sixt once again lending the DLDwomen conference its enthusiastic support this year. As a founding partner to the conference, I’m always pleased to get involved in this top-flight event which brings together a huge number of female role models from all areas of society for fascinating and fruitful discussion. The DLDwomen conference delivers an emphatic vision of what women’s leadership could be like in our digital age.”
